Area Community/Service Manager, North East

We are looking for an Area Manager to oversee our client’s Learning Difficulty Support Services throughout the North East. You’d be based in Newcastle, and we’re looking for a someone with a positive outlook who can drive so they can visit the sites in the surrounding area and provide the best support.

This position is an easy commute from Sunderland (30 mins), Washington (21 mins), Durham (29 mins), and Prudhoe (25 mins).

Do you care about the welfare of people with Learning Difficulties or Mental Health Conditions?
We’re looking for someone not just to manage sites to achieve traditional business aims, but who will a work toward the company’s vision: to create sites that provide the best possible aid to adults with Learning Difficulties and Mental Health conditions. Your job as the Area Manager will be to oversee the sites and to keep driving them to be the best they can be.

Are you confident in your Managerial Skills?
You’d support a wide range of services through the North East Area, each using a different approach to support the people who use them. You will need to provide your teams with feedback, make sure the sites comply with all regulatory bodies, and monitor performance so you can help make the services better and better.

Our client is offering £30,000 for this position, negotiable based on experience and qualifications. You’d be working primarily office hours; however we’re looking for a manager to work flexibly as the teams you’d be supporting would be working on a shift basis and may need support out of office times.

What qualifications do you need?
Experience is essential, and you will either need your NVQ Level 5 Health & Social care Adults, or to have achieved your level 3 and be willing to work toward it.
