Recruitment and retention remains an issue in social care nationally with an overall turnover rate of 25%. This transfers into 300,000 workers leaving their jobs each year. While turnover may be considered high in some parts of the social care sector, it should also be noted that around three quarters of people have been in their current jobs for 12 months or more.
