Phil McDonald

I have worked within health and social care for 22 years at all levels working in the Support of Children and Older Adults. The last 12 years of this have been spent at a managerial level working as a senior coordinator, registered branch manager within a busy national care organisation and working as director/registered manager for a private domiciliary care company.

Growing up in a family that utilised the health and social care sector for the ongoing care of a family member with profound disabilities it seemed very natural for me to move into a caring role when I left university.

From first-hand experience I can relate to many of the issues that organisations in the health and social care sector face when it comes to the successful recruitment of staff and the ongoing development of the business.

I am looking forward to using my skills and experience in a different way to source and vet potential candidates for Health & Social Care Jobs’ clients, I have always been very inquisitive and enjoy finding out about every candidate’s unique experience in health and social care, finding out about their skills and motivations and then successfully matching them to positions and organisations that are not only suitable but also share the same ambitions and ethos so both can be successful and grow together

Outside of work I am a retired Rugby player, I now spend my free time tackling my dogs and grown up children.

INTERSTING FACT: I was also a Full Contact Medieval Fighter, (no, im not surprised you haven’t heard of it!!)……..feel free to  Google It or ask me for a video!!
