We have a Full Time, Permanent, Job Vacancy for an Experienced Adult Support Worker to work with a 56-year-old man with Learning Disabilities and Autism.  This gentleman lives in the Wargrave area between the Reading & Maidenhead area of Berkshire.  Car Driver essential.

Who would you be Supporting?

This gentleman is a really loving man who wants a Support Worker that will help him feel secure and safe.  Someone who is calm, will be happy to sing to him, take him on long walks in the fresh air and someone who would think nothing of giving him a big hug.  He loves listening to classical music, baking, and watching wildlife/nature documentaries. He does need support in maintaining a healthy diet (after all that baking), looking after his personal hygiene and support with everyday living tasks.

Are you patient, supportive, a good listener and someone he can build trust with?

Be Proud to work for us

Our client is a unique provider like no other. Founded over 5-years ago by an inspirational gentleman who experienced a serious head injury, and against all odds recovered and went on to become a Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse and setup this company to make a difference to others. They aim to be leaders in Positive Behaviour Support, personalised care and challenge misconceptions about social care. They give voice to people who have been previously ignored or lost faith in the sector.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working with Adults with Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, or behaviours that challenge.
  • Car Driver with access to your own car
  • The desire to make a difference and be an excellent advocate for him.

If you have a passion for helping others, you want to make a difference, and be part of an organisation that is truly different, pioneers in their field, and empowering them to be exactly who they should be, then we would love to hear from you.
