We are looking for caring and empathetic individuals to become full or part-time Befrienders & Care Companions to support older adults in the Melksham area of Wiltshire area. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided. However, it is essential that you hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
This homecare provider has job roles available in the Melksham, Chippenham, Calne, Trowbridge, Bradford On Avon and surrounding areas of Wiltshire.

What does the role involve?
All their clients’ needs vary as everyone is different. The main part of the Befriender & Care Companion role will be checking on their welfare and helping them get through a trying time during social distancing. A big part of the role will be providing help with housework, preparing meals, and helping with any medication. You will someone to keep doing activities they enjoy at home such as baking, gardening, listening to old records or reminiscing about their memories with a nice cuppa. There may be elements of personal care involved but this would be no different to what you may do for a friend or relative. If you also think about everything you do daily, you would be supporting someone to do the same.
Pay rates, benefits & hours
- £10.00 per hour (weekdays), and £11.00 per hour (with a 40p increase for those holding an NVQ level 2 & further 40p increase for holding a level 3 NVQ).
- Full Time & Part Time (to include evenings and alternate weekend working).
- Holiday pay & pension.
- Full in-house training provided.
