Care Assistant & Companion, Uplees

£9.50 - £10.00 per hour

Full and part-time hours, guaranteed hours

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Care Assistant & Companion living close to the Uplees, Canterbury, Faversham and surrounding areas of Kent. We are looking for big hearted individuals to join a family run homecare company with wonderful values.

This company has a real passion for caring and they receive fantastic feedback such as this, “They became more than carers, they became friends.”

Experience is desirable but not essential as full training is provided. We are looking for positive people with a willingness to go an extra mile for vulnerable older adults in their local community. It is preferred that you have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Who are you joining?

This is a small, family run business with a big heart. Their clients are at the heart of all they do. They support older adults living in their homes or in a community setting, helping to enhance their quality of life and maintain their independence. They provide a bespoke service centred around their client’s needs, providing loved ones with comfort and peace of mind. The role is varied but so rewarding. You will be helping clients with personal care, administering medication, meal preparation, taking them to appointments and ultimately keeping them independent in the place they cherish the most, their home.

Exciting benefits

  • £9.50 per hour weekdays, £9.60 weekends, £10.00 bank holidays;
  • 30p mileage allowance;
  • Guaranteed hours after probation;
  • Flexible shift patterns from 7.00am to 9.00pm including alternate weekends;
  • Holiday pay and pension scheme;
  • Opportunity to progress to achieve NVQ in health and social care (funded by the company);
  • Above all, the biggest benefit is knowing you have helped someone, which is a feeling like no other.
