We are looking for Care Assistants & Companions for the Upminster area of Essex. No experience is required as excellent training is provided. Having a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable due to the nature of the role.

“I have been part of this company for over 2-years now. I retired from the Police force but needed something to do to fill my time, but also something where I could still make a difference in a persons’ life. Then I found this role. The main part of my role is helping older adults continue living in their homes surrounded by all their treasured memories and it is the most amazing thing I have done.
No two days are ever the same, and I never have the Monday blues. I support an older gentleman called David who is wonderful. I help him get up in the morning, help him with personal care needs such as getting washed and dressed and make him some breakfast. I will then go back at lunch time to prepare him something to eat, prompt him to take his medication, do a spot of cleaning and have a chat, he has a lot of stories about his life that make me smile and laugh. I’m never rushed, and I can spend quality time with my clients. I also support an older lady called Judith, she loves a trip out to Lake Meadows park, and Thorndon Park, and I struggle to keep up with her. I don’t see this as a job, it’s a privilege, I only wish I had done it sooner.”
What are the Benefits, Hours and Pay?
- £10.00 per hour on weekdays, £11.50 per hour weekends and double time on bank holidays;
- Paid mileage allowance;
- Minimum of 30 hours per month including alternate weekends (GUARANTEED AVERAGE HOUR CONTRACTS available from 16-20 hours plus);
- Working hours include, mornings between 8am-2pm (occasionally earlier starts may be required), teatime between 4:45pm-7pm and evening 7:15pm until 9:30pm;
