Care Companion & Home Help Assistant, Tadcaster
£8.80 - £9.55 per hour + 25p mileage allowance
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Care Companions & Home Help Assistants living close to the Tadcaster, York area of North Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning, family-run homecare provider with wonderful values and make a difference in an adult’s life.
No prior experience is required as excellent training is provided. It is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the nature of the role.
Anne* is 89 years old and has always been independent whilst living in her own home. Last year Anne started to struggle with little things that so many of us find simple, things like standing long enough to cook a meal and sometimes forget to take her medication at the right time. Daily routines have become harder for Anne* and so has getting out and about doing the things she enjoys. That is where you come in. You will be part of her local Care Companion team who visits her 3 times a day, for 30 mins, to ensure she has taken her medication and prepare her a meal. Anne knows that the team have lots of other people to visit, to help with their routines, but she knows they’ll soon be back to check on her again.
You would be helping her continue to be herself and do the things she loves and remain in her own home, a rewarding feeling like no other.

- Full-time and part-time available (based on full shifts i.e. part time would be 2-3, 8-hour shifts per week and full time would be 4+ shifts per week);
