We are looking for part time Care Assistants, Home Helpers & Companions in the London Borough of Bromley area.  No experience is required because full training will be provided. However, it is essential that you hold a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

Location, Pay Rates & Hours

Because this company provides a care service to older adults in their own homes, within the local community, they have job vacancies in the Orpington, West Wickham, Hayes, Shortlands, Beckenham, Keston, Chislehurst, Bickley, Farnborough areas.

  • £9.70- £11.00 per hour (Double pay bank holidays) + mileage allowance.
  • Hours available; mornings, lunchtimes, afternoons, evenings, and a few hours on alternate weekends.

The employer

The owner spent almost a decade as a solicitor specialising in providing legal advice for older adults, including those with Dementia. She also had a strong close relationship with her own grandmother, who managed to remain in her own home until she passed away at the wonderful age of 89. This led to the her changing her career path with a vision to become an award-winning provider of companionship led care.  They have won multiple awards over the years and are rated as Good by the Care Quality Commission. They are bespoke and different to any other care organisation in the area, providing care visits to a purely private client base. Each visit is a minimum of one hour, with the focus being on companionship.

Job description

To be a Care Assistant, Home Helper & Companion you will need to be kind, compassionate, with a big heart! It doesn’t matter how old you are, what job you have done in the past, or if you have never worked. If you can make an older person’s life brighter, feel great satisfaction from doing it, you are exactly who they are looking for. Could you?

  • Help someone to get up in the morning, or off to be in the evening?
  • Assisting with a shower/bath or having a wash (personal care).
  • Helping someone to get dressed or undressed.
  • Remind them to take their medication.
  • Help around the house, cooking or preparing a meal.
  • Do some shopping or pick up a prescription.

Making a difference to someone’s everyday life is so rewarding, along with creating lots of memories and knowing you have contributed to making someone’s day that bit happy and easier.
