Care Support Worker, Selby
£8.80 - £9.55 per hour + 25p mileage allowance
Full and part time hour available
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated a Care Support Worker living close to the Selby area of North Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning, family-run homecare provider with wonderful values and make a difference in an adult’s life living in their own home.
The people who you will visit will need help with medication, bathing, toileting and other elements of personal care. No prior experience is required as excellent training is provided. However, it is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the nature of the role.
Could you help someone like John he is 75 years old and has always been independent whilst living in his own home? He now struggles with little things that so many of us find simple, things like standing long enough to cook a meal or remembering to take his medication at the right time. He may also struggle getting upstairs to go to the toilet or get ready for bed.
You will be part of a local Care Support Work team who may visit someone like John 3 times a day, for 30 mins, to ensure he has taken his medication and prepared a meal. John knows that the team have lots of other people to visit, to help with their routines, but he knows they’ll soon be back to check on her again.
You would be helping him continue to be himself, do the things he loves and remain in his own home, a rewarding feeling like no other.

- Full time shifts, 4 x 8 hours shifts per week and part time would be 2-3 x 8-hour shifts per week
