We are looking for CareGivers & Companions in the Burton-on-Trent area of Staffordshire. Are you looking for part-time hours in the evenings and alternate weekends? Do you want to make a difference to someone like Eleanor*? If so, this role could be ideal for you.

We are looking for people to work in the evenings with visits starting from 5pm until 9:45pm. The role will also involve alternate weekends. It is essential that you have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Eleanor* is 87 years old, she has lived in on her own since her husband, Fred, died 7-years ago and has always been independent. Last year, Eleanor had a fall whilst out shopping and it knocked her confidence somewhat. She stopped going out and even became scared of the stairs in her own house and would often sleep on the sofa rather than go to bed. Eleanor* is typical of someone you would become a CareGiver & Companion for, she still wants to get out and about, but confidence stops her, that is where you come in. You would help her with daily routines that have become harder for her but also take her out and keep her independent and doing the things she has always done.  This would be things like helping her with her evening routine, helping up the stairs to get ready for bed or making her spot of supper. You might help her every other Saturday pop to the shops to get her weekly shop or even just go out for a stroll when the weather is a bit warmer.

Come and join the best!

You could be joining an award-winning national brand who focus on a companionship led care service.  They have won multiple awards over the years and have built an excellent reputation within communities across the UK. This exceptional service is different to any other care organisation in the area, providing a minimum of 1-hour home visits to a purely private client base, but the focus being on companionship. The Director started the service to make a difference in the local community and they always look for people who share the same values.

Benefits & Hours

  • After 8pm - £10.00 per hour.
  • Weekends - £10.00 per hour.

  • Making a difference to someone’s everyday life is so rewarding, along with creating lots of memories and knowing you have contributed to making someone’s day that bit happy and easier.

Do you have a big heart?  If you are excited by this opportunity, we want to hear from you. Becoming a CareGiver & Companion to an older adult is so rewarding and gives you a feeling like no other knowing you have made a difference

Eleanor* is just a typical example of someone you would support.
