We are seeking full and part time CAREGivers who live in the Newhall, Midway, Ashby de la Zouch, Swadlincote, Melbourne and surrounding areas of South Derby, Derbyshire. We need kind-hearted individuals more than ever at this time to support the most vulnerable in our community, so if you have a big heart and you want to be a star in your local community, then we would love to hear from you.

No experience is required as excellent training is provided. It is essential that you have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Who would I be working for?

We are advertising on behalf of an award-winning provider who focus on a bespoke companionship led care service. They have won multiple awards over the years and have built an excellent reputation within communities across the UK. This exceptional service is different to any other care organisation in the area, providing a minimum of 1-hour home visits, with the focus being on companionship. The owner of the business has a passion to deliver a high quality of care to older people in the South Derby area. He has seen the effect the service has had on his 92-year-old mother, who has been matched with brilliant Companions. They visit her twice a day and she will usually have her coat on waiting for their visit so they can go out for a coffee. However, her Companions are aware that her needs could grow at any time. This doesn’t worry them because they have built up a great relationship with her.

What would I be doing?

By becoming a CAREGiver you will be helping an older person in your local community not only combat loneliness but also help them at a time that matters the most. Everyone’s needs differ, some of our clients are more independent than others. You will be carefully matched to an older adult in your local area needing companionship and support.  This could vary from helping them to prepare meals, getting them a bit of shopping, to helping them have a bath and getting dressed and helping them with their medication. To be a fantastic companion, are you:

  • Caring, compassionate and patient?
  • Do you have a great personality and would make a fantastic CAREGiver?

  • Available for hours covering early mornings, lunchtimes, evenings and alternate weekends?
