We are looking for an inspirational Residential Children’s Home Manager who is looking to work for a smaller unique Children’s Provider for a new 2 Bed Service opening in Blackpool, Lancashire. Applications are welcome for Deputy Children's Home Managers / Team Leaders looking for progression. 

The Provider

Predominantly working with Children aged 16 plus this provider has several services mainly for care leavers, however they recently started opening Children’s Homes for younger children.  With plans to grow their services this year this is an excellent time to be joining them if you have plans to progress in the future.  It was very clear when speaking to the owner how very personable and compassionate they are, they care very much about their staff teams and ensuring that everyone is valued and supported.  With a love of animals and owning horses and stables they are also very keen to provide additional outdoor activities moving forward.

The Home

This will be a newly opened 2 Bedroomed  EBD Children’s Home, which is open and ready, but requires a very special Registered Manager to join the team and be instrumental in getting the service up and running and leading a team to provide the very best support to their children.   The Children that they support will be aged 14-15 years of age, although they are registered for 8-18. 

The Package

  • £32-35K per annum plus bonus
  • Hours of work are flexible 8-5, 9-6, 9-4 as long as the needs of the service are met.
  • The chance to open new homes in the future & progress to a more Senior role

Essential Criteria

  • Must have Children’s Residential Home Experience (Not Nursery or Early Years)
  • Registered Manager or Deputy Looking to Progress (Children’s Experience only)
  • Level 5 or be willing to work towards
  • Level 3 Children & Young People

We are looking for a Registered Manager who is excited by the prospect of opening a new service, who can recruit a fabulous team to support them, be competent in putting in place policies and procedures and an excellent understanding of Ofsted / Legislation.  Above all we are looking for candidates with a fantastic personality where the children’s needs are at the centre of everything that they do and can inspire a team to do the same!
