We are looking for enthusiastic Children’s Residential Support Workers living close to the Dudley area of West Midlands. You could be joining independent, specialist residential home for Children with emotional behavioural difficulties, challenging behaviour, autism or moderate learning disabilities.

Our client is an independent organization specializing in providing care and support for children and young people aged 10-18 who may have challenging behaviours, autism or ADHD. They may also have suffered neglect, trauma, sexual exploitation or abuse. This is a very rewarding job however it can be challenging, but with your time and support you’ll see these children grow from strength to strength.

As their Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will help them get dressed, encourage them to get washed, and make sure they eat their breakfast. Afterschool or on weekend shifts you’d encourage them to participate in activities and hobbies and help them find what they are passionate about, so they can grow up into the person they want to be.

What are the hours, pay rates and benefits?

  • £8.40 - £9.00 per hour;
  • £43.00 per sleep-in, 2-3 sleep-ins per week;
  • Full time hours, 7-week rotating rota and you must be flexible to do any shift day and night; 
  • Excellent training and development opportunities. 

What experience and qualifications are required?

  • It is desirable that you hold a relevant qualification such as Children and Young People’s Workforce, or Residential Childcare;
  • You will ideally have previous experience of working with children older than nursery age;
  • You will also be a manual car driver.
