Children’s Residential Support Worker (Nights), Southampton

£9.30 - £9.55 per hour DOE

28.5 hours per week, 3 nights per week, 9:45pm – 7:15am

We are looking night owls to become a Children’s Residential Support Worker close to the Southampton area of Hampshire. This role is working nights and you would be joining a small residential home for boys aged 8-18 living with Learning Disabilities, Autism and challenging behaviours.

You would be working in a small 6 bedded home rated as Outstanding. Wow! It’s not often that they look to recruit, they have a very low staff turnover and a long-established staff team. There is plenty of training and support available to help you flourish. 

As their Night Support Worker, you will support the children as and when needed through the night. You will be pivotal in ensuring their safety and well-being. You will also help with domestic duties such as keeping the home tidy. This is a truly rewarding service to be a part of and the children are wonderful to spend time with.

What are the requirements for the role?

  • It is essential that you have experience working with children living with Learning Disabilities/Autism;
  • It is also essential that you are over the age of 21;
  • Above all, you will be an enthusiastic individual, who is passionate and committed to making a difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
