Health and Social Care Jobs have a full time, permanent job vacancy for a Children’s Residential Team Leader / Senior Support Worker based near Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

  • £11.00 per hour, 07:00-22:00, 3 days on 3 days off
 

Location

This job is also commutable from Telford (35mins), Birmingham (40mins), Walsall (25mins), Cannock (30mins) and surrounding areas, via the M6, A41, A454, and A460 road travel routes.

The Provider

This provider is a young vibrant company still in their infancy, who want to do things differently for the children they support.  They support children aged 8 to 18 with learning disabilities and / or complex needs, providing small homes to ensure the focus is on the children as individuals.  Due to their increasing success, they are already looking at their second home with plans to open more in the future, creating ample progression opportunities for you as a Team Leader / Senior Support Worker.

The Home

The Residential Children’s Home is home to 2 children with learning disabilities, who enjoy being busy taking part in indoor and outdoor activities with their support staff.  As a Team Leader / Senior Support Worker, you will work closely with the management team to make decisions regarding the home, supervise your team of support workers and take control of the day-to-day running of your shifts.  You will work with your team to support the children and young people within the home, promoting positive interactions, education and enjoyment of activities whilst ensuring all are kept safe.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum Level 3 Health & Social Care Children & Young People
  • Experience in a supervisory position
  • Experience dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Aged 21 years or over*
