We are looking for a pro-active Children’s Residential Team Leader perhaps living in the Dewsbury Area willing to commute to South Leeds area of West Yorkshire. Residential Home Experience is essential for this role. A full UK Driving Licence is also essential.
This job vacancy is commutable from Leeds City Centre, Morley, Churwell, Dewsbury, Rothwell, Middleton, Hunslet, and close to the local transport links of the M621, M62, A61 and A63, A6110 Dewsbury Road and also close to local amenities.
Working within a small Children’s Residential Home for Children with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), mild learning disabilities and children who have suffered significant trauma and abuse this is a very rewarding but challenging role.
You would be joining a service that is helping children turn their lives around so they can achieve their dreams and reach their potential. Their CEO has over 30-years’ experience working with young people and has a strong belief that every child is worth fighting for. Their residential homes create a place where every child, often for the first time, feels a sense of belonging and they learn life skills to set them up for a positive future.
The home has had an Outstanding OFSTED inspection and they pride themselves on never giving up. They work with young people aged 8-18 who are unable to live within a family setting. They provide a therapeutic approach where they combine care, education and therapy to meet the children’s needs.
As their Team Leader, you will be pivotal in creating a safe environment for young people to flourish, maximising their potential to achieve a positive future, supervising and supporting your staff team to ensure you deliver the highest standard of care to the Children. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the Home maintains an effective care practice and that the home is always working to legislation and current guidelines and is a safe and happy place to live / work.
Salary & Benefits
- £21’560 - £25’450 Depending upon Experience & Qualifications
- £36.00 per sleep in
- 39 Hours per week working on a 3 Week Rota System
- 30 Days annual leave which includes bank holidays
Experience & Requirements
- It is essential that you have Level 3 in Children & Young People or Residential Childcare
- You must have experience in residential care and at least 1 years’ experience in a Supervisory/Senior role with children.
- You will have an expert understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- You will hold a manual driving licence so you will be able to drive the home’s vehicle.
- You must also be over the age of 21.
