We are looking for Children’s Support Workers in the Bristol area. This job is commutable from Thornbury, Filton, St. Paul’s and surrounding areas.

What does a Support Worker do?
You will be working with children and young adults aged 5-19 with severe learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex difficulties. In the morning you will assist with getting washed and dressed and support to make their breakfast. Afterschool or on weekend shifts you’d encourage them to participate in activities and hobbies and help them find what they are passionate about, so they can grow up achieving new skills. Life skills and learning is a prominent part to this role as well as getting paid to have fun such as cinema trips, bowling and horse riding!
- £8.41 - £9.39 per hour DOE and qualifications with children;
- Full time, 40 hours per week, fixed rolling rota;
- Week 1: Tues 15:00-21:00, Wed 07:30-15:30, Thurs 15:00-21:00, Fri 07:30-15:30;
- Week 2: Mon 15:00-21:00, Tues 07:30-15:30, Wed 15:00-21:00, Thurs 07:30-15:30, Sat 08:00-20:00, Sun 08:00-20:00;
- Part-time, 20 hours per week, Mon 07.30 – 15.30, Tues 08.45 -15:15, Fri 15:00 – 20.30;

What experience do I need to be a young adult Support Worker?
It is essential you have experience working with children or young adults or have personal experience of working with people with learning disabilities. You will ideally hold an NVQ level 3 in Children and Young People as mentioned above. If you do not have your level 3 full support will be given to achieve this after probation.
