We are looking to recruit Residential Support Workers for Night Shifts for two services in the Stevenage Area.  One Residential Service is for Younger Adults the other is a Children's Residential Home. Although not essential ideally you will be a car driver. Perhaps you have no experience and you have been looking to start a career in Social Care, if so this position would be an ideal position for you to start your career within Social Care with lots of opportunities to progress in the future.

Location

This job would suit applicants living close to Royston, Hitchin, Letchworth, Cambridge, and nearby areas, as a commutable transport link is available via the Thameslink train routes and around the A1, A505 and M11 motorway. Accommodation can also be provided if it is required.

Our client is an organisation which was founded by a CEO who is a passionate advocate for children & young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties. When he set up his company, he founded it saying “Things can be done better. We can make a difference.” The service is expanding and growing, so they can support even more children. You would be part of a school and residential service that provides education, care and therapeutic support for children and young people living with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties. This site has fantastic facilities for children including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory equipment and beautiful grounds allowing them to grow and flourish in their own unique way.

What does the role involve?

A Residential Support Worker is both helper and friend to the children and younger adults you will support. In the morning you will help them get dressed, encourage them with personal care, and assist with their breakfast. After school or on weekend shifts, you’d encourage them to participate in activities and hobbies like going to the park, playing games and hydrotherapy. You will be pivotal in helping create a positive future for the children, a feeling like no other.

  • Full, part and flexible hours;
  • Day and night shifts available;
  • Night shift salary, £20,475 - £22,400 per annum;
  • Nights - 8.45pm-8:15am, 4-week rota;
