We are looking for full and part-time Dementia Friends & Companions in the Coggeshall area of Essex. No experience is required as excellent training is provided, but it is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
This homecare provider provides care visits in the community to older adults living in their own homes, they have job vacancies in Coggeshall, Colchester, Manningtree, Kelvedon, Tiptree, Ardleigh, Tolgate, Stanway, East Bergholt, Dedham, and surrounding areas.
Pay rates, hours & benefits
- £10.75 per hour weekdays & £12.00 per hour weekends.
- Bank Holidays are double pay.

What would you be doing?
As a Dementia Friend & Companion, you will be playing a big role within your community and helping older adults remain independent in their own home. The company generally provide a minimum of 1-hour visits, so nothing is rushed, and each clients’ needs are different. The main part of the role will be checking on a client’s welfare providing help with housework, preparing meals, and helping with any medication. There will be elements of personal care involved but this would be no different to what you may do for a friend or relative. You will also help them to keep doing activities they enjoy at home such as baking, gardening, listening to old records or reminiscing about their memories with a nice cuppa. If you also think about everything you do daily, you would be supporting someone to do the same.
