Could you help Florence?

Florence is 85 years old and has started to struggle with little things that so many of us find simple. She might struggle to follow simple steps such as following a recipe when cooking a meal, doing certain chores, she may even need some help with personal care from time to time. She can also get muddled with peoples’ names. However, she does love to sing, and music seems to always cheer her up and remind her of special memories. She can get lonely from time to time though as her children live so far away and she needs a bit more help round the house. Could you be the person to make a difference to Florence?

As a Dementia Friend & Companion your role can involve:

  • Assisting with morning & evening routines.
  • Assisting with personal care.
  • Prompting to take any medications.
  • Taking them out shopping or for some exercise.
  • Preparing meals and light household duties.
  • Helping clients continue to live life to the full and do what they enjoy.

Pay rates, hours & benefits

  • £9.30 - £10.30 per hour plus paid travel time & paid mileage.
  • Full and part-time hours, hours will include early morning and/or late evenings & alternate weekends.

  • Pension plan.
  • Paid training after completing probation.
  • Support towards gaining further qualifications.
