The Employer

This homecare provider is different to any other. The Directors are local people who want to make a difference in their local community. One was a Registered Nurse for 20 years, so they understand what high-quality care looks like and they focus on a companionship led service.  They have won multiple awards over the years and have built an excellent reputation. They provide a minimum of 1-hour home visits to a purely private client base, so you have time to do the role without being rushed. This provider also likes to run Friendship cafes when they can, so people can meet new faces and have a natter over a brew.

Job Role

As a Dementia Friend & Companion, you would be supporting an older adult in their own home with their daily routines. This could vary from washing, dressing (Personal Care), shopping, meal preparation, providing company, attending appointments/clubs and everything in between. You would always be carefully matched to the person you will be supporting. They offer a very bespoke/unique approach to the support they provide, with all care personalised to the individual.

This could be the most rewarding role you ever take on. You can feel valued & appreciated every day and there are lots of opportunities to progress. If you want to make a difference, then this role is for you.
