Deputy Children’s Home Manager, Wrexham

£22.5K per annum + £67.50 per sleep-in + benefits

Full-time, 2 days on and 4 days off

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to become a Deputy Children’s Home Manager close to the Wrexham area of Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to join a residential home for young people with Learning Disabilities and associated behaviours.

This provider has a proven track record in meeting the needs of young people. They also have proven progression opportunities for you. Many of those who started as Support Workers are now Residential Managers, you could do the same.

Change lives, make a difference

This provider has a strongly person-centred approach and they work hard to deliver high quality care. One of their board members has a history of campaigning for disability rights and another who has some 44 years’ experience as a social worker, they all aspire to transform lives. Every person matters to them and this is an example of the wonderful work they do, “Not only do they never give up on our daughter, but they always make us feel important and respected.”

As their Deputy Manager, you will be part of 4 bedded service consisting of 2 buildings with 2 young people in each. You will help ensure the delivery of high-quality care and you will deputise for the Manager in their absence. There is a wonderful vibe at the home and all the team are positive and upbeat. This is a role where you can make a huge difference to children’s lives.

What experience & qualifications are required?

  • You will hold a minimum of Level 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent;
  • You will ideally be working towards or completed Level 5 in Leadership & Management;
  • It is essential that you have a full driving licence.

If you hold excellent values and display good leadership skills, then we would love to hear from you. It can be challenging, but the rewards of seeing a young person overcome hurdles in their life or seeing them progress and achieve their goals is something else!

We are proud to recruit for the Social Care Sector and when you click on apply, one of our friendly careers advisors will contact you to discuss this in more detail. We only employ experts, so you can always rely on us to look after you during your career change.

This job is commutable from Wrexham, Chester, Mold and surrounding areas.
