The Company

Our client is a unique provider like no other. Founded over 5-years ago by an inspirational gentleman who experienced a serious head injury but recovered to become a Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse and setup this company. They are a not for profit organisation supporting adults and young adults living with Learning Disabilities and Autism. Their care and support are centred around the individuals, empowering them to achieve goals and live independent lives despite any barriers. They want to be leaders in providing Positive Behaviour Support and challenge misconceptions about social care and be different to other providers.

Who will you be supporting?

As a Support Worker, you will be part of a team supporting a lady in her 40s living with mild learning disabilities, Autism, and Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder. The lady can display challenging behaviours, so you will be key in supporting her through those situations and helping her to manage them. You will listen to her, give her a voice, and empower her to live as independently as possible. You will assist with daily living skills, administering medication, cooking, keeping her home clean, and helping her to do the things she loves such as walking, arts and crafts, doing karaoke (especially gospel music), and watching her soaps.
