Head Chef, Grange-over-Sands

£25K per annum

Full-time, rota 5 days out of 7 

We are looking for a talented Head Chef living close to the Grange-over-Sands area of Cumbria. This job may also suit an experienced chef who is looking to re-locate to an idyllic part of the country.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a very bespoke 450-year-old Coaching Inn in the Heart of Carmel offering excellent British Food sourced from local produce, wines and traditional beers and ales. This charming retreat has a fine dining restaurant where diners can relax and enjoy the warm and friendly atmosphere. We have a friendly relaxed service and very comfortable rooms.

As our Head Chef you will be very passionate about food as competition in the area is high. You will be required to lead an excellent well-established kitchen team and ensure that all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Regulations are met. You will have the freedom to help develop the menu and use your creative talents to create something amazing. You will ensure that the standard of food is of the highest quality, bringing people from miles away to eat here.

What experience & qualifications are required?

  • A recognised qualification in culinary expertise and previous experience in a similar position;
  • You will be Food Hygiene & Health & Safety trained;
  • You will have a driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the location of the role;
  • You will have a passion for great food and hold the highest standards, as well as being an excellent leader.
