Health Care Assistant (Nursing Home), Altrincham

£8.15 - £8.75 per hour + benefits

Full-time, 42 hours per week

We are looking for Health Care Assistants living close to the Altrincham area of Greater Manchester to join a medium sized nursing home supporting people with a range of different needs including those living with dementia and complex care needs.

This job is based closed to the Knutsford and may be commutable from Altrincham, Runcorn, Northwich, Knutsford and surrounding areas.

As their Health Care Assistant, you will form part of a fantastic team and you will make a huge difference to the lives of the people you support. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing guidance and encouragement to patients through physical and emotional support;
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and enjoyable environment to live and work in;
  • Assist patients with their medical and welfare needs, and report as required;
  • Safeguarding patients;
  • Learning about individuals’ specific needs and provide help in the most appropriate way.

What skills & experience are required?

Experience in the sector is desirable but not essential. However, having a genuine passion for to make a difference in people’s lives is essential. You should also have good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Due to the location of the service it would be beneficial to have a driving licence and access to a vehicle.
