Live-in Carer, Reading, West Berkshire

Salary - £540 per week, plus holidays, pension & benefits

Shifts – 24 Hours’ per day/ 7 days per week- flexible break times.

We are looking for a compassionate Live-in Carer to join an award-winning homecare provider and become part of their dedicated team. You would be supporting an older person in their own home in Reading, West Berkshire area and helping them stay in the place they cherish the most.

Our client is a bespoke provider of at home support to private clients. The Director has a previous nursing career spanning 15 years and is very proud of the reputation amongst the local community, as well as the great benefits they offer their very dedicated staff. They understand what it takes to be the best they can be. They focus on longer visits ensuring their clients have the time and attention they need. They also believe in building relationships to provide the very best care and support possible, with a GOOD overall rating with the CQC, which they are very proud of.

As their Live-in Carer, you would be supporting clients in their own homes and help create a positive living environment to enhance your client's quality of life. They may require support with personal care, meal preparation, medication, taking them out to activities they love and general companionship. There will also be some domestic duties included in the job role such as keeping their home tidy.

What experience and skills are required?

  • Experience in home care, live-in care and personal care is desirable.
  • Having a up to date UK DBS is not essential because the company can apply for this on your behalf.
  • Above all, you will have an empathetic nature and a real passion to make a difference in the life of an older person.

Applicants from overseas will be considered providing you have the appropriate documents to allow you to work in the UK.
