Who would you be supporting?
You would be supporting a 22-year-old young man, with Autism and moderate Learning Disabilities. He is very active indeed and enjoys going out most days walking, swimming, trampolining, going to the park and using his scooter. Because he is very active, he needs a Support Worker that is happy to take him out and support him so that he can take part in activities, whilst making sure he is safe and supported. He requires 3:1 support by a dedicated team of male support workers who all ensure he reaches his full potential and achieves all his personal goals.
Are you patient, supportive, a good listener and someone he can build trust with? An excellent Mentor & Advocate?
Our client is a unique provider with a lovely story in terms of how and why they were formed. Founded over 5-years ago by an inspirational gentleman who experienced a serious head injury, and against all odds recovered and went on to become a Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse and setup this company to make a difference to others. They aim to be leaders in Positive Behaviour Support, personalised care, and challenge misconceptions about social care. They give voice to people who have been previously ignored or lost faith in the sector.
If you have a passion for helping others, you want to make a difference, and be part of an organisation that is truly different, pioneers in their field, and empowering them to be exactly who they should be, then we would love to hear from you.
