Arriving at his home, you would make Derek aware it is you, and you might help him have a wash and finish getting dressed, help make breakfast, laughing, and joking about whatever it is you are talking about. After breakfast you may take Derek to the shop for his daily paper, sit and watch some TV, help with him with some household chores or in warmer weather, help Derek in his garden, it is his pride and joy.
