This exceptional service is different to any other care organisation in the area, providing a minimum of 1-hour home visits to a purely private client base, but the focus being on companionship. The Directors are a husband and wife team previously who have a passion to provide the highest standard of care and go above and beyond for those that need support.
Sound good? What does the Paid Volunteer, Befriender & Companion role involve?
All their clients’ needs vary, from providing companionship to assisting with personal care which can helping someone finish getting dressed or up the stairs and into bed. You may also help with domestic duties & prepare meals, give them a medication reminder or taking them out to continue to do the things they love. If you also think about everything you do daily, you would be supporting someone to do the same. The kind of things that you would do for a friend or relative, and what you would expect for yourself when you’re older.
What are the pay rates, hours & benefits?
- £9.45 - £9.95 per hour plus mileage allowance (double time on bank holidays);
- Full and part-time hours - If you have some availability early mornings, lunchtimes, afternoons, evenings and a few hours on alternate weekend, then this position is ideal for you. (unfortunately, we cannot offer school hours due to the nature of the work);
- Continuous support including their very own Learning and Development Program;
