Sadie lives on her own and suffered a broken hip after falling whilst out shopping. She became scared of leaving her home in case she had another fall and she was often very lonely. We arranged for a lovely girl called Kimi to visit Sadie as her regular Care Companion. Kimi has helped Sadie regain her confidence by gently persuading her to overcome her fears. She helps her get up in the morning, get dressed, make her breakfast and maybe do a bit of light housework. Some days she will help her up the stairs to bed in the evening.Kimi now takes her out on outings to her dance group with all her friends and out into town to do her shopping and have a nice cuppa. Sadie said, “she thought she would never get a change to enjoy doing the things she loves doing most”. This has now become possible with the help and support care from Kimi and you could help someone in your local community too and share that feeling.
