Are you looking to do something incredible in 2020? Something that could change a life and tackle loneliness for older people in your local community? Are you kind-hearted with a bright personality that could light up a person’s day? If this is you, then we want to hear from you.

We have jobs available in the Stafford, Stone, Eccleshall, Blythe Bridge, Forsbrook, Cheadle and surrounding areas of Staffordshire, so if you live in any of these areas, we have plenty of local work for you. It is essential that you hold a full driving licence and have access to vehicle.

No one should feel alone. Over a million older people in the UK say they can go a month without speaking to a friend, relative or neighbour. As a Paid Volunteer, Befriender & Companion, you can help prevent this. Sometimes the smallest acts, make the biggest difference.

Be part of something special

We are advertising on behalf of family run business with an award-winning national brand who focus on a companionship led care service. They have won multiple awards over the years and have built an excellent reputation within communities across the UK. This exceptional service is different to any other care organisation in the area, providing a minimum of 1-hour home visits to a purely private client base, but the focus being on companionship. They personally match the carer and their clients together.

The Owner previously worked in a children’s hospice where the person-centred care made all the difference to the quality for their life. This experience has made the owner passionate about providing a high quality of care and support to help older people remain in their homes and stay independent for as long as possible.

Sound good? What does the Paid Volunteer, Befriender & Companion role involve?

All their clients’ needs vary, from providing companionship, assisting with personal care, helping with domestic duties & preparing meals, to helping with medication or taking them out to continue to do the things they love. If you also think about everything you do daily, you would be supporting someone to do the same. The kind of things that you would do for a friend or relative, and what you would expect for yourself when you’re older.

There are other benefits too, you won’t need to wear a uniform, there’s also an Employee Referral Scheme and their Dementia & End of Life training is City & Guilds Accredited.

If you are caring in nature, trustworthy, patient and understanding and want to make a difference why not do something rewarding?

Don’t worry if you have any questions, we will have a chat with you once you have applied and put your mind at ease on any questions you may have regarding joining our team!

** PLEASE NOTE this is not a Volunteer job, it is paid employment, however we are trying to attract those that would look for Volunteer type jobs.
