About us

We are a not-for-profit organisation with many years’ experience of providing a range of care services to support older adults. We are very proud of our award-winning retirement village which has set the benchmark for care in the private sector, offering separate communities for independent, assisted, and supported living as well as our specialist dementia care home.

When creating our Dementia Friendly care home, we worked closely with Dementia Care Groups and National Universities who study Dementia friendly design and we are delighted to have received accreditation for our home, its facilities, and our approach. We have thought of everything when it comes to our facilities, including a market square, village pub, cinema, pet shop, hair & beauty salon, tea shop, and bakery to evoke happy memories, everyday living, as well as continuing to promote independent living.

About the role

Our dementia care home is led by an experienced Registered Nurse who, along with the assistance of our Senior Nursing Team, provides clinical leadership and support directly on the communities. Our care home is separated into four unique and individual communities. Each community provides a home for 15 to 25 residents.  Our nurses are pivotal in delivering clinical excellence and high standards of care and our operating model gives them the autonomy and status to run their shift on an allocated community.  Our nurses are supported on every shift by an operational Team Leader who is trained in dispensing medication and we have a high ratio of care staff to each resident.

If you have a keen interest and passion for Dementia care, you will love our approach, our home is a place that is buzzing with activity and our residents totally benefit from the environment we have created.  And to ensure ongoing opportunities and development for our nurses we’ve developed our clinical skills passport helping them to achieve clinical competencies and keep their skills and knowledge up to date.
