Registered Children’s Home Manager, Penrith

£37K - £44K per annum DOE

We are looking for an extra special person for a Registered Children’s Home Manager vacancy in a commutable distance from Penrith, Cumbria. The role is based in Cumbria and is approximately 35-minute commute from Penrith.

We have an exciting opportunity to join a Residential Children’s Home for up to 6 young people aged 8 -17, looking after young people in a long-term care setting through to crisis intervention service. As their Registered Manager, you will be pivotal in the day to day running of the home and lead a dedicated staff team.  You will ensure that the service continues to provide care to an Outstanding level and adhering to the relevant legislation and regulations. You will encourage the delivery of a safe, structured and nurturing environment and commitment of making a difference in each child’s life.

What experience and qualifications are required?

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, or equivalent;
  • Previous experience of managing a Residential Children's service and working with young people with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties;
  • Excellent knowledge of national care and quality standards;
  • Full driving licence.
