We are recruiting for a Registered Children’s Home Manager to take up an exciting opportunity with a children’s residential provider like no other.
Location: Carlisle, Cumbria
Salary: £42000 to 52000 per annum (Depending Upon Experience) + benefits.
Job Type: Permanent, full-time.
We are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading providers of residential care and education for children who have suffered trauma and exploitation. Their homes and services are built around the children’s needs, providing specialist care to help build towards a positive future. With Residential homes in Cumbria, North Yorkshire, County Durham and Tyne and Wear, they provide safety to the young people, but also use the tranquillity of the great outdoors to offer adventure, boost esteem and confidence.
As Registered Manager, you will oversee 4 small houses in Carlisle and a team of Deput Managers and 25 care and support colleagues. You will provide support and leadership to ensure the best outcomes for the children, we are looking for someone who has managed a children’s home previously and held registration with Ofsted. You will be key in organising the effective running of the homes and the development of the young people and also the staff team whom you line manage.
Criteria
- Minimum Level 3 in Children & Young People’s Workforce or equivalent.
- Experience working in the children’s residential sector at Manager/Deputy level.
- Experience working with children with challenging behaviours & emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD).
- Excellent knowledge of OFSTED regulations.
- Full driving licence is essential.
