Health & Social Care Jobs have been engaged to recruit an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager for the Nuneaton area of Warwickshire.  The job vacancy is easily commutable with lots of excellent transport links from Birmingham, Leicester, and surrounding areas of the Midlands

Salary in the region of £40-60K for the right person, An annual Ofsted Inspection bonus of £4K

The Provider

This provider is a small provider, owning two Children’s Homes registered with Ofsted to provide a very person centred, focussed, residential care, to children from the ages of 8 upwards to 17 years of age. They have a massive commitment to ensure that they really make a difference to the children, they support and help shape their futures.  They are a provider with fantastic values dedicated to providing a homely environment, with places to relax and lots of outside space and facilities.  With a Skate Park, Football pitch, fully equipped gym, and bikes to ride along with trips to the cinema there is always something going on.  The support they provide is emotional, trusting, and consistent.

The Home

The Residential Children’s Home has the capacity for four children, but currently is home to only two children due to the home being relatively new.  The Children they support have either emotional, social behavioural difficulties, including some challenging behaviour and may also have a learning disability.  Each Residential Support Worker works in a keyworker capacity ensuring that the young person they are supporting builds a trusting relationship.

Ideal Experience / Person

This provider is looking for an experienced Children’s Home Manager who can develop the home and offer stability for the children and be an excellent leader and role model to the staff team. Experience of working with Ofsted and someone who is looking for a challenge and possible progression in the future as they grow and develop new services.

  •  A minimum of Level 3 Children & Young People
  • Willing to work towards Diploma Level 5 in Leadership & Management Residential Childcare
  • Experience of working with Challenging Behaviour
  • A proven track record in leading and managing a team
  • Experience of Safeguarding, Ofsted and relevant regulations.
