Health and Social Care Jobs have a full time, 12 Month FTC job vacancy for a Registered Children’s Home Manager based in South Leeds, West Yorkshire. This Residential Children’s Home is situated with great links from M1 and M62 Motorways, with networks easily commutable from Wakefield, Dewsbury, Bradford and surrounding areas of South Leeds.

You will be joining a provider that is passionate about helping children and young people achieve their dreams and reach their full potential. Many of their existing children’s residential homes are small to ensure a child-centred approach, and boast “Outstanding” OFSTED reports. This organisation provides a place where every child, often for the first time, feels a sense of belonging. This child-centred, therapeutic approach combines care, education, and therapy to meet each child and young person’s needs.
The Service & Your Role
You will be Registered Manager to a well-established team of children’s residential support workers, who put their everything into helping the children they support. This is a 5 bed, long term home to children who are aged 6-12 on admission, and who have been impacted by disrupted attachments, early life trauma and / or adverse childhood experiences. The home currently boasts an “Outstanding” OFSTED rating, and has done for a number of years. As Registered Manager, you will lead, manage and develop the team of children’s residential support workers, working hard to maintain the great systems they currently have in place which has led to outstanding results time and time again.
- Level 5 Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
- 3+ years Management experience within a Children’s Residential Home
- Great understanding of Residential Children’s Home legislation & framework
- Proven track record of successful outcomes with OFSTED
- Full UK Driving Licence
- 21 years of age or over*
