Health and Social Care Jobs have a full time, permanent job vacancy for a Residential Children’s Home Manager, based in Telford, Shropshire for young children with Learning Disabilities.
Up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience, 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri.
This provider has a strong person-centred approach and they work hard to deliver high quality care. They provide services to children and young people aged between 3 and 18 years old. Each service is tailored to the differing needs of each child, specialising in for example, learning disabilities, complex health needs or autism spectrum disorder to name a few. This purpose-built Residential Children’s Home currently boasts an “outstanding” OFSTED report to be proud of. You will be the Registered Manager of a home to 6 young people with physical and/or learning disabilities aged 4 – 18 years. The team promotes positive care and encouragement that helps each child to develop skills and independence, along with engaging in outdoor activities and positive interactions.
- Level 5 Leadership and Management (or equivalent), or be willing to obtain
- Understanding of Children’s Act and legislations
- Experience of care services, risk assessment and personal centred care and support
- Ability to plan and organise workloads effectively
- Aged 21 years or over*
