Health and Social Care Jobs have a full time, permanent job vacancy for a Residential Children’s Home Manager, based in Telford, Shropshire for young children with Learning Disabilities.

Up to £35,000 per annum depending on experience, 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri.

The Home

This purpose-built Residential Children’s Home currently boasts an “outstanding” OFSTED report to be proud of.  You will be the Registered Manager of a home to 6 young people with physical and/or learning disabilities aged 4 – 18 years.  The team promotes positive care and encouragement that helps each child to develop skills and independence, along with engaging in outdoor activities and positive interactions.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Level 5 Leadership and Management (or equivalent), or be willing to obtain
  • Understanding of Children’s Act and legislations
  • Experience of care services, risk assessment and personal centred care and support
  • Ability to plan and organise workloads effectively
  • Aged 21 years or over*
