Residential Support Worker, Ulverston

We are looking for an enthusiastic Residential Support Worker living close to the Ulverston area of Cumbria. This is a unique opportunity to work for a special children’s home and help turn around the lives of children who have suffered abuse, neglect or extreme trauma in a therapeutic manner.

This job will be based in Kendal but may also suit someone living in the Lancaster, Barrow, Penrith and surrounding areas.

Our client has over 20 years-experience and an exceptional proven track record in providing therapeutic residential care and allowing the children to grow emotionally and socially. They provide excellent education on site to help them with everyday life skills. They also organise fun activities such as trips out and sports to help them integrate in the community and keep them smiling. No child should be excluded, so they have created a warm and safe environment where all the children can feel a sense of belonging and be valued for who they are.

  • £17,681 to £20,541 per annum DOE;
  • Full-time hours;
  • Mix of early, late and long shifts and weekends;
  • May be some availability for night shifts.

Could you be the special person we are looking for?

It is essential that you have Level 3 in Children & Young People Workforce, or equivalent. You will also have a minimum of a year working with children and young people. It is also preferred that you have a driving licence and access to a car due to the location of the service.
