Residential Support Worker, Crewe

We are looking for Residential Support Workers living close to the Crewe area of Cheshire looking for an exciting new challenge. Do you want a rewarding job where you can help change the lives of children and give them a brighter future? If so, we could have the perfect opportunity.  

This job is commutable from Northwich, Stoke-On-Trent, Nantwich and surrounding areas.

£9.50 per hour + £58 per sleep-in

Full time, rota is negotiable, will include either 2/3 days on and 2/3 days off.

Who are you joining?

You will be joining a company that is newly established. They own 3 homes which are 2 bedded for crisis intervention and therapy for children aged 8-18. The company has a strong belief that they can support the children so that they reach their full potential and achieve their life goals, which can be an amazing feeling.

As their Residential Support Worker, you will be based on site at the home, but you will also have days based at an Outdoor Pursuit Centre. Your role will be pivotal in providing the young people’s guidance and support to develop life skills, promote independence and prepare for adulthood. Every child deserves the chance to achieve their full potential, to be kept safe and to achieve in life. You will help inspire and motivate the young people to be the best they can be.

What skills and qualifications are required?

  • It is essential you hold a Level 3 Residential Childcare, Children & Young People’s Workforce or equivalent;
  • You will have experience in working with children with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD);
  • You will be an active and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working outdoors;
  • Being a car driver is also essential.

Above all, you will be a highly motivated individual who puts the young people at the heart of what you do. You will be making a positive difference to a child’s life of which there is no better feeling.
