Residential Support Worker, Saxmundham

£18,500-£22,900 inclusive of sleeps

 

We are looking for enthusiastic female Residential Support Worker’s living close to the Saxmundham area of Suffolk. This role is commutable from Framlingham, Martlesham, Halesworth and surrounding areas.

This is a hugely exciting opportunity to be a part of a specialist children’s home and play a key role in creating a positive future for children in a therapeutic setting. This home is a small bedded home for girls aged 8-18 who have suffered CSE. (Child Sexual Exploitation.)

As their Residential Support Worker, you will ensure that the young people’s needs are recognised and exceeded. You will work as a team to ensure that the home provides a safe and sensitive environment for the young people to flourish and maintain their goals. As well as maintaining a good relationship with your team you will develop and maintain good working relationships with the parents, social workers, schools and other professionals concerned with the welfare of the young people.

What experience and qualifications are required?

  • It is desirable you will hold a Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent;
  • It is essential you have a driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • It is essential you are over the age of 22.
  • It is essential you are available to work full time and on a shift pattern including sleeps, days and alternative weekends.
  • Above all, you will have a passion for improving the lives of vulnerable young people and creating a brighter future for every child.
