We are looking for qualified, male Residential Support Workers living close to the Wolverhampton area of the West Midlands. This job would be working nights.

This job is commutable from Telford (35mins), Birmingham (40mins), Walsall (25mins), Cannock (30mins) and surrounding areas, via the M6, A41, A454, and A460 road travel routes. It is not required for you to drive, so public transport routes via the West Midlands, Cross Country rail and bus services may suit you.

Who will you be joining?

Are you becoming disgruntled by working for big organisations and want to work for a small, newly established family business? We have an exciting opportunity to do just this! Our client supports children aged 8 to 18 with learning disabilities and complex needs. Our client wants to do things differently for the children they support. They provide small homes so the focus is on the children so they can be supported to see them flourish for a positive future with a well-qualified team around them.

More about the Job Role

Are you a dedicated and driven person, wishing to move further with a career that helps those who really need it? This could be your opportunity to do so - with a great deal of scope to move up ladder and see yourself in a successful future position.

As their Residential Support Worker, you will be working closely with the children to encourage a positive daily routine, keep them safe and be there for them to learn about becoming more independent and doing the things they love. Although this role may be challenging at times due to the behaviour you may need to support with, it will almost certainly provide an enormous sense of reward.

Support Worker Salary, Hours and Requirements

  • Salary of £10.00 per hour.
  • Waking Nights are 9.45pm to 7.15am, rolling 3 on 3 off rotating pattern.
  • It is essential that you hold a Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare or Children and young people.
  • You must be over the age of 25.

If you're excited about the prospect of working in such a rewarding environment, and you fit the role and requirements, then please don't hesitate with your application. At Health & Social Care Jobs, our friendly staff will be on hand to guide you through the application process, answering any questions you might have along the way.

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer, however, due to the nature of the position, this post is exempt under the Equality Act 2010. In this instance, there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement to recruit a male.
