Children’s Residential Support Worker, Kendal, Days or Nights

We are looking for an enthusiastic Residential Support Worker living close to the Kendal area of Cumbria. This is a unique opportunity to work for a children’s home and help turn around the lives of children who have suffered abuse, neglect, or extreme trauma in a therapeutic manner.

This job will be based in Kendal but may also suit someone living in the Ulverston, Barrow, Lancaster and surrounding areas.

Our client has over 20 years-experience and an exceptional proven track record in providing therapeutic residential care and allowing the children to grow emotionally and socially. They provide excellent education on site to help them with everyday life skills. They also organise fun activities such as trips out and sports to help them integrate in the community and keep them smiling. No child should be excluded, so they have created a warm and safe environment where all the children can feel a sense of belonging and be valued for who they are.

I would love this opportunity, what are the hours and salary? 

  • £19K - £22K per annum.
  • 12 Hour Day Shifts 39 Hours per week.
  • 12 Hour Night Shifts also available.

Could you be the special person we are looking for?

It is essential that you have Level 3 in Children & Young People Workforce, or equivalent. You will also have a minimum of a year working with children and young people.

You will be a patient and resilient individual with a positive personality and willingness to make a difference in a child’s future.
