We are looking for a School Nurse who is passionate about working with Children & Young People of all ages with learning, communication, and physical disabilities. This position is easily accessible from Stevenage, Enfield, Chelmsford, Braintree & Harlow.
The Service Itself
Situated in a small village set within acres of beautiful surroundings within fantastic facilities you would be working with a dedicated, passionate team of Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists and Physiotherapists who are experts in their field. As an organisation they have a vision and commitment to ensure they maximize a Child’s potential and provide an environment where they not only thrive but are happy content and receive the highest level of support. The provider works in partnership with GP’s, Psychiatrists, and lead Neurologists from Great Ormond Street and the National Hospital for Epilepsy.
The Nurse’s Role
As their School Nurse, you will ensure the health and well-being of the young people you support. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual healthcare needs and you will administer medication safely and effectively. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about inspiring young people to achieve their goals and lead fulfilling lives. You will work closely with the management team to develop the service, plan, assess and implement care plans whilst providing the highest quality healthcare service to the children and young people. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children with complex health conditions. You will ensure that individual care plans and critical clinical decisions are dealt in accordance with CQC and Ofsted guidelines.
The Hours of Work / Benefits / Experience Required
- £32,000 - £36,000 Per Annum DOE
- 40 Hours per Week Full Time
- You will be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Current NMC Registration in one or more of the following disciplines: Learning Disabilities, RNMH, General Adult, Paediatrics at Diploma or Degree level.
- Experience of working with children & young people with special education needs and high-level support needs including behaviours that challenge.
- You will also have experience of working with ASD, PMLD, and SLD.
