- Up to £61,000 per annum, 40 hours per week
The school is located 13.1 miles / 19 minute drive via A11 from Thretford, 21.6 miles / 32 minute drive via A11 from central Norwich and 34.6 miles / 58 minute drive via A140 from central Ipswich.

The School & Your Role
This special educational needs (SEN) school is for children aged 6 to 19 years, carefully designed for children with emotional, social and / or moderate learning disabilities. Some may be on the autistic spectrum or have anxieties and difficulties that create barriers to learning. The school boasts excellent facilities including extensive indoor and outdoor recreation areas, such as sports fields, forest school, swimming pool, activity centre and climbing wall to name a few. Further to this, the school has integrated therapy and break out areas for children to take time out from the classroom environment. There is a high staffing ratio to ensure all children get the time and attention they require to enjoy learning. As the Senior School Head Teacher, you will be accountable for all areas of operational and education performance including driving curriculum development and helping the school achieve their goal of “outstanding” status.
- Qualified Teacher Status with further professional qualification in a relevant area
- NPQH or equivalent Head Teacher Qualification, or working towards this (preferred)
- Level 5 Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
- Experience of working at a senior level within a SEN environment
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding legislations, commercial & financial budget management
