We are looking for an SEN Maths Teacher (A-Level) living close to the Salisbury area of Wiltshire. The role is part-time, 8 hours per week (1 day) and the college is approximately a 30-minute commute from Salisbury via the A354 or A338.  

  • £80 - £240 per day DOE and in-line with teachers pay scales.

The college

This college supports young people aged 16 – 25 living with complex anxiety, mental health needs, Asperger’s, Autism, and other conditions. The college is situated in a beautiful location a short journey from local communities and amenities. The college boasts excellent facilities including well-equipped classrooms, sports courts and light, spacious communal areas for students to enjoy and to take time out from the classroom environment. Every student has enhanced support throughout the day including therapeutic support so they can fully access their study programme and to help them achieve their potential. As their Maths Teacher, you will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to A-Level students and ensure pupils meet their targets.

Essential Criteria

  • PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Evidence of in-service training.
  • Ability to adapt teaching & communication according to audience.
  • Effective skills in planning, recording & reviewing pupils’ progress.
  • Ability to identify & de-escalate emotion & behavioural issues.
