SEN Teaching Assistant, Wimborne

£8.41 - £9.39 per hour DOE & qualifications

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 38 weeks per year

We are looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants living close to the Wimborne area of Dorset. You will be joining a wonderful school service who provide specialist education and residential care for children and young people aged 7-19 living with Special Educational Needs and disabilities.

What would the role involve?

As their Teaching Assistant, your role will be vital in ensuring the educational, social, emotional and physical needs of all the learners are met. You will support the teachers to assist pupils with their educational and social development. You will develop warm and caring relationships with the children, helping them to achieve all their goals. You will also vital in contributing to providing varied high quality and challenging educational activities and experiences. You can help the children flourish and achieve positive futures.

What experience & qualifications are required?

  • If you do not hold a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent, then you will need to be willing to work towards this;
  • Experience of working with children or young people with special needs either in a professional or personal environment;
  • Above all, we are looking for someone with a passion to build relationships and positively change the lives of the young people that you will work with.
