We are looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker for a Residential Home for Adults with Learning Disabilities located within travelling distance from Leatherhead / Epsom Areas of Surrey.  You would need to be a Car Driver with access to your own car.

The Location

This is a lovely residential property situated in between the Leatherhead and Epsom Area’s of Surrey.  Leatherhead is 7.1 miles / 15 minutes away Via the B2033 or A24, and Epsom is 4.7 miles / 12 minutes away via the B290. 

Senior Support Worker Job Role

As the Senior Support Worker, your job will be to support the adults within the home as well as leading and motivating the staff team.  You will also be expected to attend appointments with the people we support, attend care reviews, review and update care plans and risk assessments, record and monitor daily logs, lead shifts, administer medication, and cover the rota where necessary. Your role will very much involve supervising, leading the shift and been an excellent role model to the team.

 Skills and expertise:

  • Experience working within learning disabilities
  • Experience of Supervising a staff team
  • Minimum of 2 years of sector experience
  • Ability to manage own time and able to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Level 3 Health and Social Care 

You will have a positive personality and a strong desire to make a difference in a person’s life. You will be empowering people to make choices and live life to the full, this is a feeling like no other.
