We are looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker / Team Leader looking to progress to a Deputy Service Manager for a Residential Home for Adults with Learning Disabilities and Mental Health problems located close to the Weybridge / Moseley Area of Surrey. You would need to be a Car Driver with access to your own car.

This small Residential Home is located 15.3 miles southwest of Charing Cross and is between the towns of Weybridge & Moseley in Surrey.  The London Borough of Hounslow is only 25 Mins commute / 9.2 Miles, Leatherhead 21 Mins / 9.1 Miles, Egham 23 Mins / 9.3 miles and Twickenham is 23 Mins away / 9.5 Miles.  From home, you are just a 2-minute walk from the town centre.

The Deputy Service Manager job Description

As the Deputy Service Manager, your job will be to support the Registered Service Manager with the day to day running of the home.  Your role will be to support the adults within the home as well as leading and motivating the staff team.  You will also be expected to attend appointments with the people we support, attend care reviews, review and update care plans and risk assessments, record and monitor daily logs, lead shifts, administer medication, and cover the rota where necessary.

 Skills and expertise:

  • Have experience of providing support to people with learning disabilities and varying support needs
  • Have experience of Supervising or Managing a Staff Team
  • Minimum of 2 years of sector experience
  • IT literate
  • Ability to manage own time and able to work under pressure
  • Good communication skills
  • Level 3 Health and Social Care
