Full-time, 37 hours per week, permanent

We are looking for an experienced Social Worker/Senior Practitioner living close to the Dartford area of Kent to join an excellent fostering service who are committed to turning children’s lives around and creating positive futures.

You could be joining a truly wonderful service that is helping children turn their lives around so they can achieve their dreams and reach their potential. Their CEO has over 30-years’ experience working with young people and has a strong belief that every child is worth fighting for. Their services create environments where every child, often for the first time, feels a sense of belonging and they learn life skills to set them up for a positive future.

As their Social Worker/Senior Practitioner, you will oversee their London & East fostering service and be instrumental in developing the service. You will be responsible for supporting and leading an experienced team of Social Workers, including their training and development. You will work closely with senior management to develop a high performing region, ensuring that the service provided to children and young people is safe, high quality and child focussed.

What qualifications & experience are required?

  • You will be a qualified Social Worker and hold registration with HCPC;
  • You will hold a Management qualification or be willing to undertake training to achieve this within the first year;
  • You will be a car driver and have access to a vehicle.

Ultimately, this is an exciting, but demanding opportunity for someone to continue to build a thriving fostering service and make a difference in children’s lives.
